This book is good as a read-to as well as an easy read for six- or seven-year-olds. Young Kesang chooses to join a lamasary in the high Himalayas in order to follow his calling as a Tibetan priest. But first he has an exciting ride in the largest kite of all. Based on accurate historical research, this delightfully told story gives a glimpse into the not-so-distant past.
