A simple mystery with morals

This is the second book in the Jennifer Gray sleuth series, but it has been the first one that I've read. The characters were developed well enough that even though I didn't read this one in order I felt like I had known them for a long time. Without giving too much away, the plot in this book was quite easy to figure out, I figured it out by the 30th page in. Even though I figured out the "perps" in this book it continued to hold my interest until the end. Another plus is that this story had absolutely no cursing or foul language of any kind. It would be safe reading really for any age. This book definitely has a Christian moral and the characters base their actions on Christian standards. Since I'm Christian I liked that it was good clean reading that I could just kick back and relax with. Overall, a good & very straightforwardly written mystery. Though if you're looking for a real brain teaser of a mystery this isn't it. Also at times, I found the main character Jennifer Gray to be a bit of a know it all when dealing with her family. Otherwise, I found it good enough to look for others in the series. A solid 3.5 to 4 stars in my opinion.
