A must buy for diabetics!

This is a must buy for anyone that wants to understand the full connection between exercise and blood sugar. I've read other more technical books and articles on the subject, but this was the first that didn't require a medical degree. Doug Burns and Danny Dressman have done an excellent job writing a clear, concise, easily understood book about type one and two diabetes, the differences between them, and what you can do to aid your health through exercise. Buy it, read it, use it. You will not be sorry.

This book is full of inspiration and tips for those who are not yet exercising regularly. Doug inspires you to take control of your illness and increase your health, and shows that you can and also how well you will benefit from exercising. It is an easy book to read and take to your heart. For those of us already in sports and exercising it just confirms what we already knew. I really look forward to a book showing Doug's eating and training regime and how he manages his sugar levels, that could possibly inspire even more of us.

great story on how you can over come this disease especially those with type 1 like myself, but type 2's as well. goes to show you what can be done no matter your circumstance. Very inspirational, and gives you a good foundation to start at if your looking to really tackle this disease. I do wish, however, it went more into the how to, because clearly Doug knows how to deal with this. I highly recommend this book as a starting point, and also "Think Like A Pancreas" by Gary Scheiner.

Great motivational book about someone that has dealt with Type I Diabetes for many years. I wish he had put more specifics in the book about about his diet and workout routines but I still enjoyed it.
