This has become one of my favorite books. It's well outside my usual genre but I enjoyed the movie so I wanted to give it a shot. It's unbelievably good. Well written, fast paced without being overloading, well rounded characters, and all within the realm of believably. I highly recommend this for anyone that enjoys psychological thrillers and drama.
Such a great read!

I watched the film on Netflix and loved it and was curious as to whether or not it was based off of a book with the way the story was narrated in the film. It was and I gave it a read. This story was incredible. The way Pollock draws the reader in and tells several seemingly different stories, you can quickly see how they are all related and how deeply entwined they are. Beautiful storytelling, impeccable buildup and an amazing ending. Reading the last page broke my heart. I never wanted this book to end. This book is a must read!!

This novel was definitely dark, violent and graphic. The writing was superb, but at times slow. However, this is a must read!
