demon awakens

Another great book by Salvatore. He never seems to miss. He has great detail, storytelling, and imagination. A definate must on any fantasy lovers list.

this book will keep you on the edge of your seat from cover to cover. if you haven't read the demon awakens don't start with this book! the story will be confusing, but if you've read demon awakens then jump right into this book! this is truly an awesome book!

AWESOME STILL

This book was not as good as TDA, but it was still extremely good. The imagination, emotion, adventure- everything was really well-written!

Excellent novel, Salvatore continues to mesmerize...

I'm on page 427 and I don't want this book to end, but I know I'll be done in a couple hours. I used to read fantasy novels at a rate of about one a week, but then I came to college and became a creative writing major and had all these "literary fiction" books to read for my classes, and had little time left to read on my own. I picked up "The Demon Awakens" this past summer when I was on jury duty, and was then thrilled, on my last visit home, to find a copy of "The Demon Spirit" in paperback. I haven't been able to put it down since! While most of the "literature" I read for class isn't necessarily *bad,* I had forgotten just how much *fun* I used to have with reading, particularly good fantasy novels that keep you in the world, with the characters, even when you're not directly engaged with the book. I love this series, and while I really don't have the money, or the time (my other reading has fallen behind as I can't pull myself away from Corona), I'm going to do myself a favor and order "The Demon Apostle" as soon as I see it's available. Salvatore has come through and saved a rather lost literary soul... thanks!

This is Salvatore at his best!

The Demon Wars series is fantasy. Salvatore's second book in the series was even better than the first. Even so, you really should read The Demon Awakens first. These books are epic fantasy. Salvatore has crafted his own world and breathed life into it. This book fills the story more, and brings back some very special friends. Still, many issues are left unresolved, and the book leaves you wanting the next book. Luckily, we only have to wait until March for it! If you love the Drizzt series for more than Drizzt, The Demon Spirit will blow you away.
