Demon Wars part 1

This is Salvatore at his best. Fans of Drizzt will love the Demon Wars Saga. Salvatore takes fantacy and intertwins politics, church and amazing character development. There is something for everyone in The Demon Wars Saga. I highly recomend this book to any one who needs an escape from mundane reality.

What will become of Corona?

I must say that I am not exactly a true fan of the fantasy genre, in that I have read only one other trilogy, that of the works by an Australian author Tony Shillitoe and his Andrakis Trilogy. I must say that they were the first "can't put it down" novels that I had ever read and so spurned an interest in these ficticous tales(He's not the most well known author though I have no idea why however I highly recommend these books to any who might come across them). Thus I found the works of the Demon Spirit and the Demon Apostle, and found them to be truly the most enthralling story I have come across(As yet I have not read the Demon Awakens but mean to). This thrilling conclusion draws more toward the conflict involved in the politics and religion of Corona, rather than that of the battlefield, as opposed to the second and so I've heard the first one. Though as enchanting as it is, the disappointment and saddness is also as strong. I grew quite attached to the ranger, almost from the moment he was described in the second installment and was quite supprised that such a strong charater would be elimenated from this saga which is to continue(Ascendance is almost out when I write this). I feel that the remaining characters including Pony after she was unable to control her rage in Palmaris, are not strong enough to continue a solid plot, especially with the evil which lies in the soul of perhaps the most powerful and strongest creature in all of Corona(Imagine if he learned to master both bi'nelle dasada and the gemstone magics!). Pony for me while she definately has good intentions in mind, at times seems to let rage and anger get the best of her, making her seem rather weak, and that's the difference between her and her husband whose calm head stopped her from getting into foolish situations many times(look what happened when he wasn't there to stop her in Palmaris). The only possible solution to that is perhaps the introduction of new charaters which has to be the plan as well as any enlightenment Pony might find in connecting with her husband spiritually. It looks like being quite a magnificient adventure and while I anticipate new characters to filter in where the perished left off, I still keep a glimmer of hope that somehow the elvish trained warrior might be restored to life even if it is in the last chapter of the last book of the second trilogy, perhaps with the use of a new gemstone?(Remember the dead chilichunks?) I mean there's got to be some happiness in all that sorrow, and Nightbird's death almost seems to be for nothing in that the evil creature still lives.

Better than Drizzt?

I found this book awe inspiring, for any true fan of Salvatore's this is a must read and if you are just a fantasy fan you can't go far wrong with this master piece. The book folows many twists and turns from hope to dispair and back again taking the reader along for the ride. The book lacks nothing and wets your appetite for the next adventure. Salvatore has shown us that he still has the ability to write a great adventure after doubts sprung from the continuation of the legendary Drizzt saga which is beginning to spiral out of control. The book follows a well structured path which leaves the reader spending countless hours turning page after page with no realisation of time. I would recommend this book to anyone and would challenge the opinion of anyone who doubted its originality.

An excellent conclusion

The Demon Apostle is one of the few books that went beyond what I expected it to be. Salvatore is an excellent author and has always excelled at writing about action and the way a character thinks, and The Demon Apostle is no exception. With the conclusion to the Demon War trilogy, I believe he has written a brilliant conclusion to a series that is as unpredictable as it is exciting. This is without a doubt the best in the series, and I would recommend it to every fan of fantasy.

A great read

This book is really one of Salvatore's best so far. It has everything that his fans have come to expect from him. And I really think that the strenght of this book is his ending. At first it may look weak, But by looking a little longer you will find that it's not the case. What append to the heros of this book will never append to the dark elf and is friend. When a read a book about Drizzt I dont fear for him. I know nothing will never append to him. Gods could appear before him and he will kick ther ***. Bruenor had been dead and now he live, Wulfgar had been dead and now he live. Atemis Entreri had been dead and now he live. Drizzt will never die so dont fear for him. BUT NOW WE KNOW. We know that bad thing can append to our heros. So now we will care for them, we will fear for them, because we know that they are not invincible and I love that.
