Day of Revolution starts a revolution

The Day of Revolution is an interesting story ONLY if you're comfortable with gender-bending. Personally, I loved it but for others it makes them a bit uncomfortable seeing your guy-girl thing going on. The story is incredibly well-drawn and the characters are easy to fall in love with, especially Kei.

Good, but not without one or two flaws

If you like boys love stories, you'll probably like this manga. If not, you'll probably still chuckle at the gender-bending antics of this series. Poor Kei not only has a bad relationship with his father but he's also just realised that he's a girl. Literally. Luckily for him, his discovery allows him to mend fences with his father & step forth into the world as a girl. Unluckily for him, his old friends are a little *too* happy to see the new & improved Kei. Between "girl" lessons & having to fight off not only her old friends but also a dangerous rival, this is the start of an interesting new life for Kei. Overall, I liked this manga. It's not the best gender-bender manga I've read (After School Nightmare holds that spot), but it's still pretty cute. The character designs are all well done & caters to pretty much every flavor of fangirl out there. The only weak spots in the manga? The manga tends to alternate between having too much happen at once & having a somewhat incomplete ending. The manga in it's entirety is 2 volumes, but the existing storylines could have been extended for at least one more volume so we could get a little more character building for everyone. I like the characters, but we know absolutely nothing about any of Kei's potential suitors. It's hard to root for anyone because there's not a lot of character depth. Even so, it's a fun read. It can be a little tedious at times to read with the non-stop storyline, but it's still entertaining. People who love more slowly paced storylines may want to preview this before buying while others who love a fast moving storyline will rejoice in this series.

A story to be shared.

This Novel is worth the time if you like seeing the extreme lifestyle from both worlds (worlds as in male point of view and female POV).

...

I really enjoyed this manga. I found the plot a bit unbelievable. Not the gender-bender stuff, but the idea that her four friends would have absolutely no problem going out with her. Still, it was very funny. Any manga that has me laughing out loud on the train is worth reading. I don't really see how this is yaoi since Kei is actually a girl, but psychologically I suppose it's possible. I can't wait to read the second book!

He was always a girl?

Kei Yoshikawa was having problems. What turned out to be growing pains turned out to be growing pains alright. He was growing into a cute girl. Yes, it turns out he was ALWAYS a girl. Who knew? Now he decides to be a she, dress like a she, act like a she and go to his school as a girl. A petite, sweet girl who all the boys seem to notice look like their old friend Kei. What's a girl to do? No magic, no aliens, no Goddesses, no monsters or vampires. Just plain old fun.
