An excellent source

The first review of this book hits the nail on the head.The book gives an fair view at the history of cold war civil defence planning by the Federal Emergency Management Agency. It is similar to the book "Warplan UK " by Duncan Campbell about British (lack of) nuclear planning but without his often criticism of inadequacey and undertone of nuclear disarmament as the answer to survival. Buy it if you can find a copy !

This Book is a great look at the US government's War Plans.

The book is great. A very informational look at nuclear warfare, and what the government plans to do about it.
