Great party gift

Great conversation piece at a cocktail party or to occasionally brouse for ideas for special occasion drinks. Everyone should have one on the cocktail table or home bar.

great concept

but... i like the book but it needed better events, better drinks, and more general information. with the science now indicating that a drink a day will lengthen your life i bought this book to give me some ideas.

A must have for your bar!

Just another bar guide, I thought, but wanted some different ideas. I started reading this handy guide and ended up at the end of the book, hours later. The monthly drink layout is perfect for the bartender that needs ideas for a grog that may be out of the usual routine; and the photos of many drinks are excellent and can be used as a guide for appearance. This is well written and entertaining...a must have for your bar.

a drink and a laugh a day

Sure the drinks are good, but you could buy this just for the authors' irreverant humor. Get a laugh a day, plus you'll never again be at a loss for an appropriate drink.
