They say ignorance is bliss, and I have to agree. Before the following incident occurred I was happy and carefree. I spent my spare time hiking and camping and loved being outdoors. Since the following occurred I'm afraid to go into the woods alone. What used to be a place of peace and relaxation has become a recurrent setting for my nightmares. My only saving grace is a woman, a woman of another species, sure, but a woman nonetheless. She is a woman with all the motherly instincts of any human mother I know, and the reason I am alive today to tell my tale. As time moves on I begin to wonder if there are others like her out there. Is the dark filled with monsters and one lone diminutive hero, or is she one of many creatures dedicated to protecting those weaker than herself? The nightmares are occurring less often than they used to. As scared as I am to venture back into the woods I also want to see her one more time and thank her for all of her help. I've found other people like me, people that have seen the monsters and lived to tell the tale. We are discussing the idea of going back out there and trying to learn more about them, trying to find proof so others will believe us and not go out there unprepared. I'm still scared, but if there are enough of us I just might go, we'll see. For now, the best I can offer is my personal account. I hope you read this and believe me. If you heed my words it just might save your life. The monsters are real.
