This book makes me happy!

If you want a fun book with lots of kitschy crafty history than this is the book for you! I have made a lot of the crafts and the instructions are easy to follow with no hassle. I would highly recommend this book.

great fun!

I love looking through this book and getting inspired--the writing is so fun and the design overall is just so kitschy-cool! All the projects I've made from it turned out great, and I've had so much fun going through it and choosing what to do next.

Extremly Happy!

Great book and great new projects to try out! Thing you would have never though of and intresting new ways to spice up things you may have tried before!! Must own by anyone new to crafting or an experienced one!

Fun and Fabulous!

This book is chock full of fun and fabulous projects for anyone. The kitsch factor is high - these crafts will surely bring a smile to your face! I have found the instructions clear and easy to follow, and the projects have inspired a few kitschy brainstorms of my own!

Great blast from the past projects with a modern twist!

In the interest of full disclosure, I must begin by mentioning that I know the author, Leah Kramer. Her collection of kitschy items and decor from the 1950s and 1960s is amazing (and, in fact, has been featured in Jane Magazine). Based on knowing Leah (including her talents and aesthetics), I was thrilled to learn last year that Leah was working on a book. I was even more excited when I got my hands on a copy last weekend. Leah's affection for both the kitschy items of the era and crafting is very clear. The projects are great and well explained (and the materials and techniques are fun - they will surely inspire you to create your own unique items). The book's design and photography are lovely. `The Craftster Guide...' is a great addition to any crafting library. It is also perfect for anyone with retro tastes. If you are about my age, your mother likely remembers these projects from her own youth. I bet she'd love a copy as a Mother's Day gift.
