Who Said Cows can't Fly?

Somebody forgot to tell Miss Rosemary's cow, Gertrude, that cows can't fly. So she does. However, Miss Rosemary cannot milk a flying cow. She needs Gertrude to come down. She tells Gertrude that cow's can't fly, but Gertie pays no heed. She tries to lure her down with alfalfa, she tries a lasso and a fishing rod, even tries grabbing the cow's tail from the roof and through it all she receives no joy. The answer, jealousy. Miss Rosemary manufactures a stuffed cow called Matilda and this brings Gertie down, to rather disastrous results for Miss Rosemary. My son Devon, though not yet three, really like books book. We both scream splat when Gertie lands. He giggles at the cow in the sky, and I must admit, sometimes so do I. Even though he is a bit too young for this book, he enjoys it tremendously and when he learns a little more it's gonna be right there waiting for him to appreciate. I can't recommend this book enough. Just a wonderful thing to have around if you have kids.

The Cow Who Wouldn't Come Down

I recommend you read this book because it has onomatpoeia. It is a funny book and it has great parts. I think it was enjoying and exciting. It was a terrific book. The book was about a cow who could fly. The name of the book is The Cow Who Wouldn't Come Down. It is a wonderful book. That's why I like the book. The book is a great book. I also like the pictures.

The Cow Who Wouldn't Cpme Down

I really like this book because it has exciting pictures to show you what is going on in the story. It was funny when Miss Rosemary said, "It's a known fact that cows can't fly." But her cow Gertrude showed Miss Rosemary that she can fly.

What a great book!

My daughter loved it, I loved it ... and I have a hunch you probably will too. I picked this up on a whim, and was very pleasantly surprised. Great illustrations, a story line with some meat to it, and some fun and wit thrown in too. What more can you ask? As a side note, I wasn't surprised to learn that the illustrator is from "coal country" because, frankly, Miss Rosemary reminds me an awful lot of my grandmother. Great fun!

It is exciting to read and Mrs Rosemary is very clever.

The cow thinks that he has to do something exciting, so he goes to the moon. Mrs. Rosemary makes a fake cow to make him jealous. The cow comes down from the moon and begins to drive a tractor. Mrs. Rosemary does a lot of different things to make the cow jealous and tries to get him to settle down and be a normal cow. This is a wonderful story that has a lot of good pictures to go along with the story.
