It conquered my heart

I picked this up at a used book store as the cover of the book intrigued me, I am enthralled with the medieval period of history. I was not disappointed in the least. Eve is strong willed and passionate about her land of birth (Ireland) and her love for her husband who she was forced to marry. Richard is a fierce warrior who is not only handsome of face and form but is honest and fair and marries Eve in order to possess the land he wants so he can begin a dynasty with in Ireland. Neither one of them expected to fall in love. I really enjoyed watching them fall in love as I got in to the story. This is one I will surely keep on my book shelf.

This novel was my first venture into the Historical Romance genre, and I was so impressed! Eve's character is so strong, her will is dead-set and her passion for her people unstoppable. Yet, her marriage to Richard soons ignites a new passion within her. This is a wonderful, wonderful book.
