A resource guide that you need to take to Yosemite

Very much enjoyed reading Matt Bolton's book on Yosemite. I loved his candid approach in writing this book. His tips on lodging, food and things to do and what to see were very helpful. I especially like the emphasis on hiking from someone that loves to hike/backpack. Good tips for hiking Half Dome! Good suggestions in seeing the less visited areas of the park. For anyone getting ready to travel to this park, this book will be a great resource to make your trip successful and more enjoyable. Finally, what really overshadows this book is the authors' passion and love for Yosemite.

Wow!! What a great resource in helping one navigate thru one of our great National Parks. Our family has been planning on visiting Yosemite and we learned so much about the Park from Matt Bolton's Guide. Consise, well-written, filled with great maps. Excellent book on visiting Yosemite

This book is a MUST HAVE for anyone traveling to Yosemite! All of the information you could possibly need for a trip to this National Park is perfectly written. Being a resident of Northern CA and never been to this beautiful place, I now will make this trip for the first time based on the readings from this book. ~ Margo Weir

Excellent review for someone that is interested in giving Yosemite a try. Concise and easy read.

Very helpful information for visitors.

Filled with helpful information. Easy to read. I wish we had something like this before our first visit to Yosemite with the kids. We would like to go back, and this will help us narrow our focus during the trip to what we really want to see and do. I like the tips for "must see" and "if you only have a little time". Good information about: clothing, hiking, carrying water, non-hiking options, lodging, where to eat,and where to buy supplies and gasoline. Nice descriptions of the popular trails and how to select one (or some), and the waterfalls. Also contains information on less-visited areas (like the ones we missed on our first trip). Great trip-planning guide. Not stuffed with park history, because you can stock up on that information elsewhere.
