Good Introduction

"The Complete Idiot's Guide to the FBI" is a good (although very basic) guide to the agency and its functions. Not surprisingly, just like other books in the "Complete Idiots" series, it caters to readers who only need a simple overview of the FBI. "The FBI: A Comprehensive Reference Guide," by Athan Theoharis, is even better. Thomas Ackerman's "FBI Careers: The Ultimate Guide to Landing a Job As One of Americas Finest" is also a great book for agency information and history, and it's the best book on the market for FBI career seekers.
