This is a wonderful source for unusual foods. In addition are food tips or recipes on almost every page. A recipe for "Strawberries in Red Wine - Put whole fresh strawberries in a bowl, sugar lightly, and add dry red wine to cover. Marinate for 1 hour before serving chilled as a dessert." A good tip: "Freezing reduces the strength of flavors. Overseason or oversweeten foods to be frozen." I loved perusing this beautiful book page by page. It does need to be updated - web site addresses would make it 5-star.
