I bought this book as a teenager and began immediately baking delicious bread with it. While I've not tried all of the "ethnic" recipes, the European recipes are excellent. I especially enjoyed the basic recipes for white, wholewheat and sweet doughs that can be used in a variety of ways. The books is a visual delight and the authors provide interesting back stories to many of the recipes. (One note: The recipe for Greek Easter Bread has a misprint. You will need more flour than 2 1/2 cups.)
