The Complete Book of Airships - Dirigibles, Blimps & Hot Air

This book is easy to read but very informative at the same time. Mr. Dwiggins not only discusses the complete history of Dirigibles, Blimps and Hot Air Balloons with great authority but he makes it very enjoyable. I have learned a lot from the book because of the back ground that he discusses. Learning that Dirigles were used during the Civil War was amazing to me. Most people believe they did not come into being until the 20th Century.At the same time of educating me about the history, Mr. Dwiggins has also added to my knowledge of what makes Blimps, etc tick. How to make them fly better and more efficiently. I checked this book out of the library but I must now order this book because of the wonderful history and knowledge it is providing.This fall, an associate and I will be creating our own Blimp. Plus the fact of the resurgance of blimps is making this book more of a must have.
