Packard Corporation accountant, Cedric Sharp, vanishes. Homicide Sergeant Harding Knox takes temporary leave from the Minneapolis Police Department to fulfill an obligation to a friend. He flies to Florida to find Sharp. Drug runners commit a gruesome murder linked to a smuggling operation and a body discovered in Hell Peckney Bay.
