Depth, Strength, Ambition

An ambitious work that changed the landscape of historical surveys for American literature students. It is a broad undertaking to cover it "all" in one volume, and there is sure to be something missing that ruins it for one reviewer. Do not be deterred. The contributors are top drawer. Highly recommended to buy this book while the cheaper used-market supply is fine. Strong BUY.
