Very good book for the bathroom, quick stories!

Very funny and interesting, quick humor to life's "not so thought about" questions. I loved it, we re-read it all the time.

For Parties and Fun!

We have had a blast with this book. I ran across it last year while shopping and bought it for my dad for Christmas. He loved the book and we have been using it now at parties. We have incorporated the material into our Christmas gathering and birthday parties since. We are planning to use it again this Easter. You can turn the book into a game or use it just for entertainment. People will be amazed where some of our old Cliche's originated and at all the other interesting facts. The only problem is it just wasn't long enough! So I am hoping there will be a second book.

This book is great - you can read it anywhere! Not only is there a ton of fun and funny tidbits to either laugh out loud about or simply scratch your head, you can always have something other than work to talk about at the office, when you get home - basically anytime, anywhere! Who knows - you could use it to win your first million--!! Thanks, Marbles, for sharing your wealth of "useful" trivia - hey, I am NOT being a smart-alec! This is a totally honest review! I also listen to the Morning Rush everyday, and enjoy the "College" there, too!

MARBLES STRIKES GOLD AGAIN

I dissagree i find Jim Marbles book "the college of obscure knowlege" delightfull filled with little known facts about everyday life. Answers to the questions you were afraid to ask in grade school, to cool to ask in High School and too busy to ask in College. Marbles pat your self on the back not only is this book intriging but interesting. It is a must read.

The College of Obscure Knowledge is Great!

This book is great for anyone who has ever wondered about the traditions and words that we use everyday. If you are fortunate as I am to live in Tulsa you can hear Jim Marbles (the author) tell one of these interesting stories every day on 100.9 KXOJ. It made me question things I haven't thought about before. For instance why are chips pre-priced at the store when nothing else is? Or why do donuts have holes or why do lion tamers use a chair? Well, you'll just have to buy the book to find out the answers to that and tons more. I would recommend this to anyone who is a trivia buff.
