Another fun chapter book from the dynamic duo of Mike Thaler and Jared Lee -- just in time for Election Day Hubie is running for president against Doris. But he doesn't think he stands a chance against the free ice cream that she's giving away to voters. Plus, to stay in the race he has to do crazy stuff like shaking Coach Kong's paw and Mrs. Green's claw, and kissing a bunch of babies. Hubie's chances look slim. Will being the candidate who stands for something---not just who stands on top of something--be enough to win him the race in the end?
I bought this for my daughter when she won the election for class vice-president. Even though she's a little old for it, she loved it! (I work in a school and I always give these books as gifts to staff members. They think they're hilarious!)
Well-liked!

I have male 6th grade student that absolutely does not like to read. He reads at a lower level than his friends, but he still wants to read cool books like theirs. He picked up this book and loved it! I ended up getting as many of them that I could find.

My son can't put these books down. He is in 2nd grade and is reading a couple of these books each day. It's nice to find a series that is a hit with the kids.
