Bill Murray wrote this book to help new Christians (those he refers to as "Transition Christians"). He also discusses what churches can do to minister to these people. Mr. Murray converted to Christianity at the age of 33. He was the son of famous atheist Madalyn Murray O'Hair. After his conversion, his mother and family pretty much disowned him, and he was on his own. I think many readers, religious or non religious, can identify with the family struggles that Mr. Murray has been through. He weaves in a lot of details about his life growing up as the son of a famous atheist, so this book is somewhat biographical, as well. This man has endured many things in his life: cigarette and alcohol addiction, toxic family relationships, and divorce. I enjoyed reading this book.
