Truly Simple!

This insightful book describes the New Testament (Renewed Covenant) pattern for doing church. The author, Robert Fitts, gives many valuable insights on how to return to the Scriptural pattern in meeting for fellowship, which really is a return to simplicity. God's plan from the beginning was pure, lovely and right and totally simple. Then sin entered in and ever since man has been buzy complicating things. This includes the way church is done. The pattern we see for the way church was done in the Bible is totally simple. No pulpits, no pews, and no one man show. This is the reason that our traditional services have been so unappealing to many who call themselves believers. Having said that, I very much agree with Fitts, that whether large or small, denominational or non-denominational, etc. we are all members of one body, whose head is our Savior and Lord. As such we need to be very careful not to develop a superior attitude toward any of our brother and sisters, regardless of what kind of church they attend, but rather pray for them and support them whenever the opportunity presents itself.
