Enjoying my order

I always loved the Narnia movies and would watch them daily. Now that I got the chronicles of Narnia I can read all the books and see what changes they did when I read the book and se what wasn’t in the movies

My book came with missing pages!

Condition was supposed to be good. How can a good condition book knowingly have missing pages? There is a sticky note taped to the front of the book saying the pages are missing and to remove from the library’s circulation. Well they did, and now I own it. Thanks!!

Incredible book!

The book arrived quickly and in good condition. The only damage of any kind was wearing at the corners of the cover and a crease/crack on the spine. I’m not going to be picky about that because I tend to be a little careless when it comes to breaking in my paperbacks. The binding is strong and all of the stories are placed in the preferred order of the author. The order being linear to the storyline instead of publishing date. Overall a great purchase.

Love the series, received the wrong edition.

I ordered the box set of paperbacks. I received the entire series in a single, very thick paperback. This makes it very difficult to read to children which was the reason I purchased it.

Listed as a series but apparently it is a computer error

Ordered this series however when our order came we received "A Day with Minnie Mouse". When I called the customer service they were super nice but said it was a computer error and they didnt have this series so they issued me a refund. My son was pretty bummed that Minnie Mouse showed up instead of Narnia.

Missing, incomplete..

Was supposed to be the whole set, instead it’s missing books 1&2 and has duplicate copies of the 6&7th books. Very disappointed.

Good stories

Fun stories to read. Only complaint about my purchase was the “Like New” listing. Maybe I was sent the wrong one but it certainly was not that at all

Top Quality Edition

I'm not going to comment on the actual books contained in this all in one volume, but rather on the quality of the hardback edition itself. Often these all in one volumes are printed on poor quality paper, and have poor bindings - happily this is very much not the case here. The paper used has a silky feel, and you feel confident that the quality binding will keep the book intact for many years. Considering it's full retail price is about $30, the $17 price tag is great, adding to the value of this edition. If you are looking for a collector edition quality version of these novels, you won't go far wrong. The only better version I've come across is at Eastern Press, who usually charge at least $40 per book (sometimes as much as $60) - but their books are only for the most anal of collectors. I only mention them for those that have been disappointed with collector editions of other great fantasy novels, such as Tolkien's Lord of the Rings, and The Hobbit - as well as an awesome version of the Altas of Middle Earth, or Ursula Le Guin's Earthsea series.

Fantastic!

This is a FANTASTIC Audio production. The actors reading the books do a superb job: to the point that at times I don't believe it is the same person reading the different parts. They put such enthusiasm and character in to the voices and the readings that it makes the book come alive. If I have to mention a criticism it would be this: I tried listening to this on a stereo system but the volume variations in the readers intonation is too much. At times I had to turn the volume on the stereo way up to hear the softer parts of the recital and then it would be too loud. Listening to this on headphones is the way to go!

Ireland is no stranger to being home to literary legends, which may partly explain why it's referred to as "The Land of Saints and Scholars." With St. Patrick's Day quickly approaching, what better time to honor these literary legends and highlight some of the best Irish authors?
