I am so confused

I have changed my ratings about 3 times. This is my 12th read by this author and I am usually content with his work but this book made me feel like I was riding a roller coaster (all the twists, turns and spins). While, I enjoyed the twists and intrigue, I found too much embellishment in this work. 1. Who takes a load gun to kill somebody and gets frightened to shoot (Tia)? 2. Who is going to believe that an actual talent scout walks into a church unwanted to discover a woman with no talent (Monique) and comes prepared to offer a singing contract to an artist with no contact (Aaron).? 3. It was not difficult to guess whether Tia killed 2 of her rape assailants but pretty obvious that she killed the minister in the church but at the end of the saga, the author tells us that she did not kill anybody and that her fiance killed them because he was following her at each attempt to kill them.?? He never even she was raped so why was he willing to kill them when he was clueless? This simply took the book way over the top and made me lower my rating because it was senseless. I enjoy intrigue but when it makes no sense, it spoils the story and impede credibility. I am still a fan but this one is a tad too wacky to accept.
