Forget diamonds, chocolate is a girl's best friend Some women are addicted to shopping, others can't get enough of champagne. Some like to curl up with a good book, and others want a night out on the town. But there's just one thing Lucy Lombard can't live without, and that's chocolate--rich, creamy, sweet, delicious chocolate. For her there's no substitute. There's nothing it won't cure, from heartache to a headache, and she's not alone. Sharing her passion are her three best friends and fellow addicts: sweet, peace-loving Autumn, harried mom Nadia, and sex kitten Chantal. Together they form a select group known as the Chocolate Lovers' Club. Whenever there's a crisis, they meet in their sanctuary, a caf called Chocolate Heaven, and with a cheating boyfriend who promises he'll change, a flirtatious boss, a gambling husband, and a loveless marriage, there's always plenty to discuss.... By turns hilarious and heartrending, The Chocolate Lovers' Club brings together four unforgettable women from totally different worlds united in their passion for chocolate.
This was the best book I read since Bridget Jones. I am in the process of reading The Chocolate Lover's Diet. I find myself rooting for these women. Would love to see these books turned into movies.
Chocolate Lover's Delight

I have never taken the time to write a review here, but I think this book deserves more credit and more popularity! I also rarely run out and buy a book in hardback so I was alittle hesitant, but I've discovered that this book has been a real treat. A great book to give as a gift, especially if you have a friend who loves chocolate! The characters made me laugh out loud in some of the things that they got themselves involved with. I loved reading about the descriptions of chocolate. What a fantasy it would be to stay thin and eats lots of good quality chocolate desserts like in the book! This was a fun book and put me in a good mood and of course makes me want to sneak in the pantry and go get another dark chocolate Lindt ball with a dark chocolate filling. You must eat chocolate along with this book!
Very entertaining!

I really enjoyed this book. The four main characters are all really different, and they each have their own individual stories to tell. Although it is unrealistic how much chocolate they eat (and they are not described as large women), and the descriptions of the chocolate may start to make you feel sick after a while, I'd recommend this book to anyone who enjoys chick lit.
Laughed my butt off!!

This book is fantastic. At first I thought, "Oh, no, not another cheesy tale about the lives of four friends who just happen to love chocolate." I've read "Shoe Addicts Anonymous" and that was just too generic for me so I thought this one would be similar. This one is different from most chick lit. There are lots of plot twists going on, creative ones, and Lucy is hilarious with her jobs and attitude. She reminds me of myself. And the "operation jewelry" endeavor was so funny. The only thing I didn't like was the gay guys owning the chocolate shop. Why do most chick lit book have to have the token gay guy? It gets tiring and old!! But great job on a very entertaining read!
A guiltier pleasure than chocolate...

If you're a lover of "chick-lit", epsecially by British authors, you won't be disappointed. This is a great read.
