Just what we were looking for...

We kept looking for an age appropriate bible for our seven year old. Most children's bibles were too young for him and the youth bibles were a bit too wordy for him to read. The stories in this bible are challenging enough but not too difficult for him to understand. The illustrations are beautiful. I love the inserts about historical artifacts and places in between stories. Like other DK discovery books, pictures and descriptions of things like pharaohs and the Nile River are included intermittently. It helps my son link the stories with our modern world. Beautiful book overall.
