A Great Guide for Cheerleaders

This has been one of the best books I have read about being a cheerleader. This book does more then show you how to become a good cheerleader, it gives advice and info about being a good cheerleader in life. I found this book to be very detailed and very helpful. There are sections about tryouts, jumps, gymnastics, eating healthy, supplies, and much, much more. There was also a chapter about college cheerleading. An added bonus to this book was that it was written by a former professional cheerleader, Cindy Villarreal, so that the info in here is true and helpful.
Burrrrrrrrr -- clap clap -- It's COLD in here!

I ran across this fine volume at Half Price Books and couldn't resist acquiring it. This is the supporting documentation for an entire undercurrent lifestyle, that of the Cheerleader. It might alternatively be titled "Full Immersion Cheerleading." It covers stretching, exercises, health and nutrition, signs and waves, leaps and bounds, hollers and yells. An appendix provides contact information (much of it probably now outdated) for cheerleading organizations (such as those associated with professional football teams) and another section presents some fundamental rules and other details about the sports at which cheerleaders actually lead cheers. The only problem with CGTL is that is focuses overwhelmingly on female cheerleaders, barely even acknowledging that countless males also embrace the Cheerleader vision. This book is a superb companion piece for the film "Bring It On," which is the greatest cheerleading movie in history. Kirsten Dunst is wasting the prime of her career in the movie business -- she really ought to be a professional cheerleader, like Cindy Villareal.Push 'em back, push 'em back, WAAAAYYYYY BACK !!
An Excellent Guide For Young Ladies...

An Excellent guide for young ladies on their way to becoming amateur and professional cheerleaders. I know first-hand, Cindy Villarreal's ability to train a squad to become the "best of the best". The tips in the auditioning section are "right on the mark" when it comes to making a professional cheerleading squad. Good luck and cheers!
Excellent book for cheerleading hopefuls and veterans.

The book has lots of advice for cheerleading hopefuls and also tips for staying at top cheer condition. Many stories to inspire and entertain. Not just a book for girls, there is also info on profesional cheerleading and dance. I loved it and have used it as a resourse of the history of cheerleading in reports I have given.
