Very Insightful

This books shows via US govt documents the plan to assassinate Chavez, in an act of subversion to democracy--an act of terrorism by the U.S. against Venezuela.

First rate research!

Eva Golinger has deciphered the complex web of treachery and deception used by the US government in its relentless effort to destroy the Venezuelan democracy of Hugo Chavez. The book is a must read for anyone wishing to understand US-Venezuelan dynamics, and the war for global oil. Although the Bush administration has attempted to suppress information of its nefarious activities, Golinger has found the smoking gun (in fact, many smoking guns!)

Eva Golinger Made a Great Job

Politically I identify myself with the Bolivarian cause, even though there are some things Chávez has done that I seriously disgree with. Still, it is up to the people of Venezuela to elect their own President democratically, in fair and free elections. The United States wants to elect their President in such a way that would guarantee a clean process. No "coups d'etat". No unwarranted influence from other nations. However, Eva Golinger shows in her book, and with much documentation (some public documents, others made available under the Freedom of Information Act), that the United States heavily funded sectors against Hugo Chávez, as well as it shows that organisms of the CIA were not only aware of the coup, but it knew who were the people involved, and how the whole setup was organized. She also associates this with a long tradition of the U.S. using exactly those strategies to intervene against left-wing or socialist oriented groups in Latin America, or actually U.S. interventions to cripple left-wing Latin American government activities such as Salvador Allende's assassination, or as the guerrillas paid by the U.S. against the Sandinistas in Nicaragua. It doesn't matter if you are for or against Chávez, this book is very important concerning the exposition of the schemes of the U.S. government to intervene in other countries, violating their sovereignty, as it was the case of Chávez's coup in Venezuela.

US Intervention Revealed

This book is an excellent window into the deep and dark secrets of the US plans of intervention in Venezuela. We can see directly from the source, (via CIA unclassified documents) how the coup d'etat on Venezuela of 2002 was previously planned by the US government. It is a revealing book that unfolds the "democracy and liberty" standings that the US wants to extend and impose on all nations stepping over and crushing sovereignty, human rights and the will of the people. "The United States seems destined by Providence to plague (Latin)America with misery in the name of Liberty." Simón Bolívar(1783-1830)
