This is an enjoyable book for all. A light read for adults and a good read for teens and children. The plots are interesting and fast pace. Polly's P's and Q's - Polly was a girl who always forgot her P's and Q's. One day her mother concoct a clever a plan on how to get her to remember. On his way Home - Richard is a very talented young singer but his tutor was very worried of him, thinking that might get into his head. The Broken Gate - A group of kids trying to get the job offered by Old Man Twinkle, only to break his gate. Scared, they refuse to admit they did. Sulky Susan - Susan is a very sulky child, who sulk at any chance she gets. John's Hanky - John lost his hanky and fought with his sister. He was Afraid! - Alan had a new Jacket but he got it dirty. He got rid of it only to bring up more problems for him. Amanda Goes Away - Amanda was Belinda's beloved best doll. She refused to be part away from her but one day she had to borrow her away. Simple Simon Goes Shopping - Simple Simon is a simple boy but he could be so unreasonable. One day, his mother dreadfully sent him to buy some things. And a lot of trouble that become! The Old Bicycle - Peter wished to have a bicycle of his own so he could go to school much easier. But his father could not afford to get him one.
