Great Book

I love all the Hank books, and this is a great one for the Christmas season. These books are hilarious and more important to the young reader, fun to read. I'd also check the rest of the series. Author of "Hobo Finds A Home" editor "Of A Predatory Heart"

On Duty

When Hank Goes to his gunnysack to get some rest he hears something nearby, and wants to go investigate the case.Later on he finds what the problem is......it was a couple of coons(racoons to be exact),and with that group of coons he finds his old pal "Eddy the racoon" hanging out with the group. When the coons leave Hank stays to gaurd the trash cans, however in the morning Sally May gets mistaken, and thought that Hank made the mess so Hank decides to leave the ranch, and on his way he finds a coyote gal.She then takes Hank to Rip,and Snort to hunt with them(by the way Rip,and Snort are Hank's enemies.)Will Hank survive?and will he make it back to the ranch?

Please Don't Listen to the Back!

If your copy of the book, like mine, says "Rip and Snort, the good-for nothing coyote brothers" and calls them "the side of evil" on the back, please don't pay any attention. Rip and Snort are very funny and not the least bit evil. Anyway, this book was pretty good, as are all of the Hank the Cowdog books. In this one Hank was blamed for scattering garbage all over the place and goes to become an outlaw with the coyotes. I adored Rip and Snort's song "Oh Boy" and Hank's new verson of the Coyote Sacred Hymn and National Athem, "Me Just a Worthless Coyote."

The Garbage Monster from Outer Space

Hank the Cowdog books are very good. They are sometimes funny and sometimes gross. Hank the Cowdog Garbage Monster from Outer Space is about a dog who tries to be an outlaw but was no successful doing it. Just wait until you read the book to find the funny and gross things in the story.

Hank is blamed for all the garbage barrels being raided.

After he is wrongly accused of raiding the garbage barrels on the ranch, Hank decides to become an outlaw. Rip and Snort, two coyote brothers, help Hank to learn the ways of outlaws. One of Hank's test was to raid garbage barrels at a trailer park. There Hank meets Eddy the Rac (racoon), an old "friend." Eddy makes Hank a "deal" which gets Hank in trouble. Sally May, Hank's master's wife, has to come clean up the trash that Hank has spilled around the park. Then Sally May said they would have to give Hank away, but little Alfred, her son, convinces her to let Hank stay.
