The Caring Caregiver's Guide to Dealing with Guilt

What a wonderful book! It really took an in-depth look at the very real reality of guilt and its many reasons. It is hard enough to take care of someone without the added burden of guilt. This is the book that will help you to feel better and even recognize that you DO suffer from guilt, even though you may not have known it. It shows that the authors had personal experience dealing with caregiving and guilt, that they were good and caring people, and Christians to boot! I would happily recommend for anyone who is dealing with caregiving and the guilt that can come with it, to buy it. I really liked the book and the other 3 that Starr and Bob Calo-oy wrote: Caregiving Tips A-Z, Caregiving Tips A-Z Alzheimer's and Other Dementias, and Hospice Care at Home. No more GUILT!

Answers questions but may be too religious

The authors have worked with the families of dementia patients, so have experience with many kinds of guilt feelings by families. They suggests constructive ways to respond to the guilt and become a healthy survivor. Suggestions are positive and doable. They use Christian terms and beliefs that may not help some readers in dealing with their grief.

The Caring Caregiver's Guide to Dealing with Guilt

This book is outstanding!! It is the perfect resource for anyone who is caring for a loved one or someone who knows a person in this situation. It was very easy to read, and the stories were straight from the heart. At times I felt the author was writing directly to me. I've got a copy of the book for myself, and I'm ordering more for my friends. I think many people will benefit from reading this book.
