Soulmates in space

Krysta Tul'Mar, Captain of the Home Guard of the planet Arda and sister of Ki and Fari Tul'Mar, is kidnapped by members of the Outlanders. These Outlanders come for her brothers but, not finding them, settle for her. Krysta is brought to their leader, Darkyn Weil, who discovers--much to his horror--that she is his soul mate, his shanna. She is an Ardan, an enemy of his people! He fights taking a mate because of his role in a plan to save the universe that was set in motion centuries before. The plan has almost reached its conclusion, and it will require a blood-price to be brought to a successful conclusion. He is convinced that the blood-price will be his own life. This 150 page novel is a rousing conclusion to a trilogy about the planet Arda which began with The Sailmaster's Woman, and continued with The Sailkeeper's Bride. I would classify this story as a space opera with sex--lots and lots of sex. Man/woman sex, multi-partner/group sex, and woman/woman sex. Amazingly, the science fiction plot is so well-conceived and well-written, that in many ways it overwhelms the romantic/sexual elements--which tells you just how good a book it must be. I liked it so much that I went right out and purchased the first two novels. I brought the first book in this collection and I liked it very much, so i went on th purchasing the seocnd and third book in the series.
