We CFS sufferers are going to change the face of medicine. This book explains why and how. If you have CFS you must stop going to any doctor who prescribes a drug to relieve your symptoms. You must stop going to an allergist who is still giving shots using the useless RAST test. They are just making your coffin more comfortable. Get to a holistic physician who knows that treating and reversing CFS requires nondrug nutrient therapies and effective allergy treatment. Parents should especially read this book to realize the extreme importance of identifying allergy problems in their children now - before they develop autoimmune disorders and emotional disturbances when they get older.
Best book on topic.

Like many others in this group I felt much the same. I read this book 5 years ago and I still look at it as a book that guided me in the right direction. Today I live a normal life but follow many of the guidelines laid in this book. One important rule to getting better is to look for problems and not expect sympathy. Don't expect a wonder pill this sickness is a wakeup call you will appreciate in the future if you make the commitment. This book along with an open attitude and continuous changes & education will help you get back your life if you suffer from the pain of CFS.
Absolutely wonderful

I have had ME/CFS for a little over 10 years. This book was recommended to me. I read it, absorbed it, and my own consultant has used some of Majid Ali's advice in my treatment. I have come a long way.....I am getting better. I can in all honesty recommend this book to all sufferers and those who wish to know more about this ' tip of the iceberg' illness. ( Medics may wish to avoid some of the anecdotal stuff in the first part of the book, although try to read it if you have time ). I have read many books on ME/CFS and some are good. If you can only go for one.......this is it!!
For the first time in my life, someone understood !

This book tells the story of my life. When I read the book I felt enormous relief. For the first time in my life, some one actually described accurately my illness - starting with the symptoms, going through phases of the illness and right to the impossible struggle of trying to get diagnosed - and acknowledged ! I have had most of the classical symptoms of CFS for years - but until I read this book I never quite realised that they were connected. Neither did any of the family doctors that I went to. The book is easy to read and optimistic - because it gives hope for healing, and because it treats CFS for what it its: a physical situation that needs healing. It would teach some physicians about how patients feel when they come to a doctor who is simply ignorant and unwilling to learn. If my physicians read it and understood - they would realise that CFS is a real, physical thing - it's not depression, it's not shirking it's not imaginary !
Great book!

I've read quite a lot of books on this topic, and this is the one that I think is the most comprehensive and makes the most sense. An excellent guide.
