An Interesting, Behind The Scenes, Look At Politics Of Personal Destruction

I read this novel shortly after I read "Gideon's Torch". These two novels had similar themes, but this one is far superior. This book kept me at the edge of my seat. I found the action more satisfying than the other novel I mentioned. This one had a twist of having a Republican African American Senator who was considered a prospective presidential candidate. Many of the issues are related to politics specifically. Some laws were passed to protect the one promoting the law. There is a media outlet that is clearly biased and wanting to destroy the candidate of the opposition party. However, other issues dealt with include forgiveness and racial reconciliation. I highly recommend this novel.

Good book

This was well written and exciting. I read it quickly because I couldn't wait to see what happened. Very enjoyable.

Awesome

I thought this novel was awesome. My sister read it before I did and she highly recommended it. I read it. I could hardly put it down. It was edge of seat, what next. I read it in a week's time and I'm a slow reader that takes a couple of weeks for shorter books. It was great.

Excellent!

This book was a thriller right from the start. It was thought provoking, exciting, and very well written. A must for the politically astute!

Equal to Alan Drury's Advise and Consent series

I had just finished reading the Advise and Consent series by Alan Drury when my husband bought me this book. It kept me racing through the pages to see what was going to happen next. They gave some hints, but kept enough secrets to keep the suspense intense. I want them to write more! They proved that a clean novel can still be exciting and extremely relative to the current events in America.
