The Caddisfly Handbook is a convenient and thorough guide to identifying all the major caddis varieties east and west of the Mississippi. This description may be from another edition of this product.
Everybody knows Gary LaFontaine is the guru of caddisflies (great book). However, I love this book as well. Maybe more. Its small size is user-friendly and has great color photos of the caddisflies, pupa, and larva on every page. It teaches you how to pick up a rock and identify what caddis will be coming off soon. I often read the two books together as they compliment each other very well.
Valuable guide

This book is an invaluable resource for the serious angler and tyer. The photographs are extememly high quality and are very large to see the most minute details for the caddis flies. The book is also small enough in size to easily take along on the stream. An excellent resource and highly recommended.
