Best android book.

Book is easy to read even for non native English speaker like me. There is a lot of good samples. Code is fore SDK 1.0. Now we have 1.5, but other Android's books are more out of date. It's also important Mark Murphy is active posting on android developers group and his post are often very helpful.

Excellent book!

The author is very close to tasks and problems. He is very active user in Android's blogs. The answers and examples he gave me in book and internet blog was always helpful.

Best Android Book

I've gone through the majority of android books out there. This one (and the other one from commonsware) are clearly the best and end up getting used probably more than the others combined.

Solid learning and reference book!

This book provides a great way to learn the android SDK. Coupled with the Google online documentation and Google Groups (android beginners & developers), this combination makes fast work of most learning challenges. I've found this book invaluable as an immediate reference, and rarely needed to ask others for help because of it. The author is also quite active in giving assistance to subscribers when they need some clarification of the code. This book has more than paid for itself in the time I've saved looking for answers online. I can't praise it enough. Not to mention the fact that I've already downloaded the early release of the Advanced Android book as well!

Excellent, gentile introduction to Android

If you're new to mobile development or new to cell phone development, The Busy Coder's Guide to Android Development will get you started fast. It covers all of the basics, and gets you far enough to be able to be productive using Google's documentation. What more could you ask?
