The Buddhist Way delineates the major schools of Buddhism. The author presents compelling resons for his preference of Zen. This isn't an objective book, which is an approach that happily I agree with. There's no point wasting one's time on the wrong path. I also agree with the previous reviewer. If you read only one book on Buddhism, this is the one. The Buddhist Way tells you everything you need to know about Buddhism that can be expressed in words. I read and re-read this uplifting book for both hope and courage. The Buddhist Way is as good a start toward enlightment as anyone can hope to find.
Great book!

This is a super book! It is very challenging reading due to the seriousness the author brings to the subject. He doesn't try to make Buddhism easy or digestible, but lays it our clearly and understandably, this is geared more for the serious investigator. If I could only have one book on the subject this may be it! Somewhat dry, but totally on target with regards to Buddhism.
