Refreshing & realistic lessons on leadership

I have seen John in action training leadership concepts and this book helps to reinforce his practical and applicable daily examples for managers and supervisors. We all need to be authentic in our leadership roles, not just what the textbooks say, and this book brings home real life leadership - that when practiced regularly does make a difference in organizations reaching thier goals. I highly recommend the book for individuals in leadership roles but more importantly for groups to help them develop a common leadership language. I also recommend John in person as he connects in a very powerful way with his audiences.

John Graci tells it like it is in "The Buck Stops With You." Graci gives practical, candid advice that works! This book is a must-read for all managers and supervisors. It's an easy-read that reminds leaders how to lead effectively.

doesn't beat around the bush

I have listened to and appreciated audio books since the early 80's. I realized early on that only some books ought to be made into audio books. And fewer still ought to have the authors record their own work. "The Buck Stops With You" is one of those few, rare books that both ought to have been made into an audio program AND has an author who was first a professional speaker. The content is not only worth listening to, the author's voice and manner make it easy. Not some dry, academic tome, Graci uses an admittedly folksy style of story telling to make his points. His common sense ideas hit home, and you can bet you will discover things you have been doing that will make you cringe as you realize you just might be responsible for some of the problems in your own workplace.

Great book, funny, practical and a good read

Engaging from the first page to the last. Also was very impressed with the audio version. I bought a copy for all my employees as a christmas present.
