It's, like, Really Very Good

This rocked my world so hard I couldn't pick up another book for weeks. A well-written and believable hero wielding incredible magic that no one understands anymore - a believable ecological dystopia - characters whose motives are always their own and never just convenient to the story - I can't say enough good things. A must-read trilogy.

Jemisin is a Master Storyteller

This series is so beautifully woven together, it's unique and capturing. There is queer and trans visibility in this world where black folks narratives are centered. I definitely want to read more by Jemisin.

Everything I wanted and more!

If you're wondering if you should invest in the whole trilogy, the answer is YES! NK Jemisin's world-building is so masterful. Finally, speculative fiction populated by Black folks!
