Everything I Needed to Know About The Raj

I am a 20 years + Indophile. My India library is large. All subject matter represented. David Gilmour's book is at first tedious in its wealth of information, but a second look - before I returned the library book changed my mind out the tedium. This is a must have book of Raj minutiae(sp?) - it covers every idiotic and important facet of the British Raj in its occupation of India. If you read India, this is the book to keep next to you (along with Hobson-Jobson and Hinglish). Without question a companion to every other real or imagined biography of the time (1858-1947). I love it.
