Best Book on the American Revolution

For whatever reason, this is the period in American history I'm most drawn to. I've had the pleasure of discovering some truly fantastic works on the period. And that's the key to the academic subjects, right? If you can find the right books---the right authors---reality is better than anything fiction can dream up. Atkinson's book (the first in an as-of-yet unfinished trilogy, I think) is the best I've found. If you can only get one, I'd point you here. :-)
