A scary present that is possible

This is a very gripping story about a future that at times seems all too possible at times. The book doesn't dwell on the rightness or wrongness of the situation of a religious fundamentalist going out of control and causing a nation wide disaster. The story is mainly done with very strong characters and many smaller parts which serve to emphasise the insanity of the chain of events. The last line of the blurb on the back of the book really sets you thinking after you have read the whole book. "Read this book while it is still fiction."
