Book Review

This is my all time favorite author. This was his first novel, published in 1950. It holds up very well by today's standards. If you want to discover another good author read McDonald, especially his Travis McGee series. Excellent stuff if you are an action fan. He set the bar for other writers.

Ol' John D. did it again. His very-readable novels set a standard hard to beat. In this one, an insurance "adjuster" nearly gets whacked. Somehow, though, the end justifies the means and one cliff Bartells comes out smelling like a rose.
