This book is super musty/moldy smelling. Cannot be used as a gift for my daughter.

This book reaked of musty and moldy scent. It would have been good to know before I bought it. I bought it for my daughter. I cannot send it due to her having 2 small children and you can smell this book several feet away. I ordered another copy today. I hope it is not musty/moldy smelling.

Great purchase!

So happy with my purchase! It is in great condition, even has a plastic book cover on it!

So happy to have a copy again

If you don't own a cookbook this is the one book I suggest any cook at any skill level own.

The encyclopedia for cooking

Have had this book for 55 years. IT HAS EVERY CONVERSION YOU NEED TO know. OUNCES to cups, Amount of egg small to x large My encyclopedia for sure..How to cook anything.I don't tag pages..but in this book I tagged the apple pie..the very best..and I have a whole cookbook of just pies. Back page hanging by a thread..best book..no chilies or current trends for adding spices..just good basic recipes.

Cookbook

Arrived on time Good book

A staple for cooking

Has everything you could think of includes all the basics would recommend to anyone learning to cook

Book was so damaged with pages glued together , pages ripped , water damage and mold growing on it a

Book unusable and covered in water damage and mold and glue and it was supposedly a good book. Don't know about the book can't use it very damaged.

Every kitchen should have this book.

In particular, my family and guests really enjoy the Raised Waffles for breakfast. Oh, they make my tummy smile.

Perfect baking cookbook

Every recipe I have made from this book (over 30) has worked perfectly. The directions are impeccable. I've made cakes, cookies, pies, quick breads, yeast breads, frostings and sauces from this book. Each one has worked every time. The hot fudge sauce is spectacular as are the gingersnap cookies. When I bought this book several years ago, I knew how to make chocolate chip cookies; I was not an experienced baker. I followed Ms. Cunningham's master recipes to learn how to bake, and now I have a reputation as a great baker. You can't go wrong baking with Marion Cunningham as your guide.

Tried and true

While this book isn't fancy -- no full color, magazine-quality pictures of finished goods here -- it is as close to no-fail as you can get. These recipes stand the test of time. You cannot lose by using this book often! Anyone who knows anything about baking would love to have this gem as a gift.

For Basic Cooking, This is "The Kitchen Necessity".

I'm 25 and my mother has had her 11th Edition Fanny Farmer Cookbook since before I was born. The pages are falling out and the covers are taped to the binding. Holiday after holiday, this is the only cookbook my mother refers to and my mother is famous for her good cooking. Some say the recipes in here are bland. Listen, if you want to learn how to really cook as though you've been cooking all your life, this is the only cookbook that will teach you! There are basic recipes for poultry, meats, breads, deserts, all from scratch. The recipes are all simple, easy, and delicious. The best part is, once you've learned those basics, it's no time before you start adding your own flavor to make your own recipes. It's perfect for those who can't cook and for those who can because you always need the basics. I just brought one for me and one for my mom. Now I finally have my own Fannie Farmer Cookbook and my mother can finally retire her old one.
