very nice

I got this book for Christmas several years ago, when I was in high school. The pictures in this book are amazing and the text is informative. It should be noted that this book does not cover every species of snake. As another reviewer stated, it's mainly an introduction to the world of snakes. I recommend this book for children (probably 10yrs & up) and adults that are interested in nature and/or reptiles.

I would rate this a 4-star, but the stupid 1-star review left by the other person deserves some further buttressing. The book covers anatomy, evolution, and a wide variety of snakes around the world. It has fantastic photography and serves as a good introduction (not really for kids, although they'd "grow" into the book and like the pictures, but certainly cool for teenagers on up as basic introduction). The previous reviewer likely just hates snakes and feels the need to combat that phobia with banal book reviews.
