Numbers have character too!

This is a delightful little tome for anyone who likes numbers,their significance and even a bit of mathematical curiosity thrown in. There are many books around that deal with Numerology and particularly ones that use numbers and their associations to predict the future. The difference with this book is that it covers many more areas where numbers come into play. It covers a lot of historical aspects and significience of numbers and many numbers that immediately bring to mind historical events, 1776 being an example.It also touches on fields of Recreational Mathematics such as Magic Squares and even Magic Triangles.interspersed .There are even sections that deal with statistics for the Continents.If you are intrigued by Prime ,Perfect and other special numbers ;you will find things like this; 1 X 1 = 1 11 X 11 = 121 111 X 111 = 12321 1111 X 1111 =1234321 11111 X 11111 = 12345432 or 67 X 67 =4489 667 X 667 =444889 6667 X 6667 =44448889 etc.,etc. Of course; no book on numbers would be comlpete without talking about the Number PI 3.14159...:and we even get a mnemonic designed to help you remember this ratio to 15 decimal places.Then there is coverage on that greatest ratio ,found throughout the universe;Phi-The Golden Ratio 1.618. Then you will also find little gems like this: Take the Number 110 Both of the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center had 110 storeys,adding fuel to the numerological theory that 11 was a significant number in the 9/11 terrorist attacks.The Sears Tower in Chicago also has 110 stories. 110 also links Osama bin Laden with Adolf Hitler,by ways of Gematria and numerology.Osama bin Laden and Adolf Hitler both have a numerical value of 110. Let the letters be replaced by their order in the alphabet ;where A=1,B=2,C=3,D=4,etc. Then add them up and each equal 110. They are also "Birth Mates" by way of a practice that matches the numerical value of their birth dates.Hitler's birth date is April 20 1889 (4/20/1889) and if you add the numbers until you're left with a single digit,you have the numerical value of 5. 4+2+0+1+8+8+9 =32; 3+2 = 5. bin Laden was born on July 30 1957 or;7+3+0+1+9+5+7 = 32. 3+2 = 5. A fun little book with something of interest for just about everyone. Check your own birth date;you might be surprised at what you find!!
