The author describes all characters so well that you can easily picture them in your mind. The story has funny parts and parts that are sad and touching that I’ve cried a few times. Loved it!

A Charming Story!

This was a very charming story about friendship and finding a place to belong with a dash of really cool magic in the form of books being able to talk to Sarah Dove. This would be so cool if it were real because I know it would help me out so much if my books could tell me which one I needed to read next. While the books were a really fun touch to the story, they were more of a sidepiece to get the occasional lightheartedness in the book. This was more about Grace and Sarah and learning to rely on others in order to save the charming little town of Dove Pond from financial ruin. I liked all the characters, from Sarah to Grace to little Daisy and Mama G. And of course Trav who had his own dark issues to cope with but still opened himself up to help Grace in dealing with the sadness of Mama G and the disease of Alzheimer's. This was a fun book and I would love to read others that either deal with Dove Pond, or maybe one of Sarah's sisters, like Ava.
