Spectacular Spy Capers!

What delightful and humorous tales Frederick has spun with both Spy Mice: The Black Paw, and Spy Mice: For Your Paws Only! She has created clever and endearing characters (mice and humans alike!) that show devotion, ingenuity and bravery in the face of danger and duty. Captivating, charming and hilarious -- these misadventures of mice, rats, kids and adults will entertain every family member who ever dreamed of walking in James Bond or Harriet the Spy's footsteps. Bravo! May there be many more Spy Mice adventures to come!

The Black Paw (Spy Mice)

Fantastic! I highly recommend this book for upper level elementary and middle school age children. This book is full of suspense and keeps the reader's attention. The Black Paw shows cooperation in a new light and shows values that children need. The sights of Washington, D.C. are an added bonus. They won't want to put the book down. Well done Heather V. Frederick!

A great tale

This is a charming story and I recommend it for kids in grades 3-7. It was cleaver, kids can relate to the characters, and I like that the protagonist was a girl. I just bought the sequel and can imagine it will be an animated movie in the near future.

Recommended for advanced elementary through middle school kids

At the Spy Museum creatures of all sizes are always about, battling for power: mice vs. rats, kids vs. bullies - and all the power lies in a paw. The skateboarding mouse Glory and double-o detective Oz Levinson may seem unlikely heroes, but their investigations are fair and their activities intrepid in this fun detective work for advanced elementary through middle school kids.
